Firefox has many more add-ons that can a much better job - without installing a toolbar. I would advise everybody to avoid using Internet Explorer at all, it is simply too vulnerable to spyware and exploits. I suggest you use Firefox, there are 1000's of plugins if you want to customise it. And of course, no spyware! Everett, thanks for leaving a comment.

They have a cool toolbar that replaced ads with pictures of your choice. Their blogs mentions they are about to release a version that will let me create my own replacement images. I have been using it on IE for a couple of weeks. it has already removed 3501 ads for me! I think they also have a version that works on Firefox? Check out http://www.prowebsurfer.com.
